A Surrey Institute of Art & Design, University College was an art college in the United Kingdom. It merged sustaining a Kent Institute of Art & Design on August 1 2005 to form the University College for the Creative Arts.

It was a 2nd big specialist art and design institution in a country, the University of the Arts London notwithstanding, boasting as it does the 3,500 each year student intake. Akin to a London college & the Royal College of Art, it also experienced degree-awarding powers independent of the university college. It was, indeed, the degree validating partner for fellow art school, The Arts Institute at Bournemouth.

A Farnham School of Art was founded inside 1866. A Guildford School of Art followed around 1870. Them conjoined to get a West Surrey College of Art & Project around 1969. Within 1994, a farther merger by owning a Epsom School of Art produced in todays world's institution, which was renamed a Surrey Institute of Art & Design a year later. These ii previous colleges form a basis for the 2 independent campuses of the school. Around 1999, the College was granted university college status and took in its cognomen.
